The backpack ministry of Landrum United Methodist church is an outreach to O.P. Earle Elementary School, Landrum Middle School, and Landrum High School. Backpacks of food are provided to those underprivileged students to have something nutritious to eat over the weekend where they might otherwise go hungry. We spearhead this local effort in collaborations with area churches. Jody McPherson coordinates this ministry that takes place throughout the school year.
